The reception area is the meeting point for visitors, clients and partners. The first impression and opinion of the company is based on the impression of the entrance area. With the help of reception furniture it is possible to arrange a secretary’s workplace suitable for communication with visitors and exchange of documents.
The entrance area includes a reception desk and waiting area for visitors. A receptionist’s desk with a monitor, drawer units and glass or blank fronted file cabinets is concealed from the visitor’s view by a screen. The receptionist’s desk in the reception area is usually within the visitor’s line of sight. Sitting at the reception desk, the receptionist usually sees visitors, while the visitor reacts to the familiar accent in the interior – the reception desk – and approaches it. The waiting area is usually further away from the reception desk, where a small desk or coffee table and chairs for the visitor can be placed.
